Blue Ridge Residential Services of Virginia provides an array of services to adults with intellectual, developmental and cognitive disabilities throughout the commonwealth of Virginia. Our goal is to ensure every individual receveives the right care- at the right time – in he safest environment possible.

Sponsored Residential Services
Blue Ridge Residential Services partners with people in the community across the commonwealth of Virginia who open their homes to adults with developmental disabilities. We specialize in matching the people we serve with dedicated and caring home providers. We also develop new homes with sponsors (host home providers) chosen by individuals served and/ or families and legal guardians. In-home services and day support are offered at select locations.
Sponsored residential services are available to adults who have Community Living Waiver services slot through their local community services board or behavioral health authority or pay privately for the service. Sponsors are contracted through our agency as the holder of the state licensed service with Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.
Day Program
Blue Ridge day options provide community and center-based day services for adults in Forest, VA. The program was created in a smaller setting to allow individualized support and more 1:1 time with trained providers.
Home and Community Based Services
In-home services are available around the state but concentrated in Virginia Beach, VA via our Norfolk office. Matching available, trained staff with people seeking drop-in care allows the person to remain at home and have support brought to them to achieve and maintain greater control over their lives.
