Indiana Community Living Waiver Homes Earn CARF Accreditation

ResCare Community Living supports the clinical and pharmacy needs of individuals with intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disabilities. Accreditation is an important part of our commitment to quality care.

Our community living waiver homes in Indiana have earned accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. The three-year accreditation focuses on an organization’s ongoing commitment to quality improvement and demonstrating conformance to CARF standards in services areas and business practices.

Indiana CARF Accreditation Report Highlights:

  1. “ResCare Indiana is led by a tenured and competent team of dedicated professionals. There is a culture of supporting staff members so that they can provide high-quality care and services to the persons served. Staff member are encouraged to develop their skills and seek advancement within the organization.”
  2. “Persons served have a myriad of opportunities to engage and connect with their communities. Activities include shopping, eating out, attending church, visiting friends and vacationing to fun locations. The organization plans several special events throughout the year that the persons served eagerly anticipate.”
  3. “There are many long-term, knowledgeable and competent staff members. This is a positive reflection of the organization’s support for, investment in and appreciation of its staff members. These staff members demonstrate a sincere commitment to the persons served. They are familiar with the persons served and actively engaged in their lives.”

Some of our Community Living locations in North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, and Tennessee have also attained CARF accreditation.
