Isabel Diaz – Texas Direct Support Professional of the Year
Isabel Diaz demonstrates an exceptional work ethic. She is a reliable, honest, trustworthy, and
hard-working professional and a compassionate caregiver to the individuals she works with, giving them her all every time she sets foot into their homes.
Always the first to volunteer for assignments, regardless of how challenging, Isabel takes great pride in her work. When an individual in the operation was diagnosed with cancer, she volunteered to transport them to their treatment, over 660 miles away. In one month, Isabel took three, five-hour round trips to the cancer treatment center with the client.
Isabel ensures that each individual’s specific outcomes, goals, desires, and requests are met by pre-planning individual and group initiatives. She understands that relationships between the individuals we support and their families are essential, and she facilitates meaningful interpersonal relationship development. She uses technology, like FaceTime, to break down communication barriers.
Dedication and leadership abilities have earned Isabel her recent promotion from Direct Support Professional to Site Supervisor. Isabel is a shining example of the type of person we want working at ResCare with the individuals we support.
