ResCare Community Living Honors 2025 ANCOR DSP of the Year Award Recipients
ResCare Community Living is proud to announce that six of its direct support professionals (DSPs) have received the prestigious 2025 DSP of the Year Award from American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR). DSPs are direct care workers whose roles extend beyond caregiving to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independent, fulfilling and inclusive lives within their communities. Each year, ANCOR recognizes a DSP from each state, as well as Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to providing safe, high-quality and compassionate care for individuals with disabilities. This year’s recipients include the following DSPs:
Amari Bates – Saginaw, Michigan
Osman Conteh – Cincinnati, Ohio
Shirley Ross – Martinsburg, West Virginia
Andrea Smith – Carbondale, Illinois
Jennifer Wells – San Antonio, Texas
Cheri Breland – Mandeville, Louisiana
The six 2025 DSP of the Year award winners have been selected from hundreds of nominees for their exemplary talent, integrity, leadership, and commitment to their respective communities. Each of them is known for going above and beyond in the essential care that they provide, prioritizing strong relationships with their patients, advocating for their needs, and changing the lives of those around them.
Award recipients will be recognized at the 2025 ANCOR Annual Conference in San Diego, California.
