Why ResCare

Person-Centered Approach

Providing quality care is our primary responsibility. At ResCare, our mission is to provide the right care – at the right time – in the safest environment possible. We promote an organizational culture focused on safety, trust, respect and professionalism.

We believe that individuals of all abilities deserve to live their best life through support provided in their own communities. We also believe in making inclusion and personal choice a priority. Individuals, in consultation with families and guardians, have the right to participate in the process of selecting their own services and developing their own life goals.

During the COVID-19 public health emergency, we were able to maintain a client infection rate that is one fourth of the national case rate (as of February 2022), despite individuals most often living in group homes in their communities.

Our article, “Supporting individuals with intellectual and development disability during the first 100 days of the COVID-19 outbreak in the USA,” has been referenced by over 50 peer-reviewed publications, including the World Health Organization, as an IDD care home outbreak response best practice.

At ResCare, we build partnerships to deliver effective and powerful outcomes for the individuals we serve. Our partnerships – with clients, their families/guardians/advocates, our employees, referral sources, payers and the organizations and communities in which we work – are based on mutual respect and a shared focus on quality, service excellence and empowerment.
